What is Qik Roam?

   Qik Roam is a prepaid SIM card that lets users make voice calls, stream video live, send e-mail and web browse in 139 countries.

 

How much are the Qik Roam Sim Cards?

   The Sim cards are available in 2 packages: one for $34 which has $20 of calling credit and the other for $67.50 which has $54 in calling credit.

 

What are the savings I can get?

   By using the Qik Roam, you can expect to save from 60-80% on usual roaming charges.

 

Do I have to change or sign up for a new number with Qik Roam?

Can I use Qik Roam in Japan?

   Yes. However, due to the particulars of Japanese networks, this will require a 3GSM (or 3G) mobile phone that supports WCDMA 2100.

   This is still a GSM phone, but one that uses additional third generation technology deployed in Japan. Currently there are

   two different 3G standards in effect.

 

   To make sure that your phone will work in Japan, the best thing to do is to check with either your current mobile service provider

   or consult the handbook that came with your phone to determine whether or not it is WCDMA 2100 compatible.

 

Can I use Qik Roam in South Korea?
