What network does Qik work on?Qik works over wifi and GPRS. Can Qik be used to send live streaming video to an email address so that it can be viewed later?You can share your Qik video with your friends after it has been uploaded. You can click "share" at the bottom of the thumbnail of the video you want to share, enter the email address and the video will be send to the email. However, it is not possible for someone to view live streaming from their inbox as the video has already been uploaded. Your friends will have to go to your profile page to view the live streams.

I am new to Qik, is there a newbie's guide to Qik?.The Qik software varies from phone to phone. However, we have made a generic user guide which can be downloaded from the folder on this pbworks. You can find it on the right hand side of this page , under the "Navigator" tab and go to "User Guide". You should be able to find the pdf copy of the user manual.
How much data is consumed in 30 minutes of streaming? The data consumed varies depending on the platform, network conditions and quality settings. The way to determine is to take
the average bitrate (It is in kbps and is shown on most clients) then divide by 8 (bits in one byte) and you will get kilobyte per second,
multiply on 60 (will get kylobytes per minute), divide on 1024 (will get megabytes per minute) multiply by 30 minutes.
The kbps fluctuates during streaming , therefore its hard to determine exactly the amount of data transfered.
To summarise, if the kpbs is at 200. You take 200/8*60/1024*30 = 43.9Mb.
I'd like to upload videos from two separate phones, to the same account.Is that possible?Yes that is possible. You will need to download Qik from http://d.qik.com in both your cell phone and log into Qik with your username and password in both phones. Then, you should be streaming to the same account.
What are the websites that are integrated with Qik?The websites are Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Brightcove, 12seconds.tv, Tumblr, Blogger and WordPress.
Can I watch Qik Live streams on my cell phone?This is possible if your cell phone supports Flash Lite 3, or by installing the Skyfire browser.
