I can't connect to the server/ the application hangs on the log in page and nothing happens.

You could try checking if the TCP settings for the phone has been set yet. You will need to go to Option  > Advanced > TCP

and set according to carriers. Further information can be found in the url below:

   http://www.blackberryforums.com/blackberry-network/2185-blackberry-internet-msn-chat-web-telnet-tcpip-no-bes.html

I am trying to connect via cell network but the device is trying to connect via Wifi.

If you are using WiFi make sure WiFi is connected to internet.

If you are using 3G/EDGE connection make sure that WiFi is disabled or not connected on your phone or go to Qik  menu->Network Settings

   and uncheck "use WiFi" item.

Also make sure you have set TCP settings for your Blackberry device correctly according to your operator (Options->Advanced Settings->TCP).

Why do I have this error, "Error starting Qik: Class 'net.rim.device.api.system.WLANInfo' not found"?

This means your OS version is old. We recommend OS4.5 for non-CDMA devices and OS 4.3 for CDMA devices (8130, 8330).

You may find some update on the internet or request update from operator.

I have to reset permission each time I launch Qik, how do I prevent that?

You will have to set all permission to "allow" and press Blackberry button and select "save" from menu on permission screen.

You might have to reset permission each time you access the network at your work place as the IT policy at your company might block these permission

Also, if you are using BES/MDS, we do not support that for now.

I have hit "55" but no twitter messages goes out, why is that the case?

Hit 55 to send out Twitter notifications only apply to Nokia phones, on iPhone, there is a "send alert" button.

On BlackBerry switch "Send alert to Twitter" option to ON state. You need to enter your twitter credentials under edit profile on the website.

Must I have a SD card installed in my Blackberry for Qik to work?

You will need a SD card for Qik to install to BlackBerry Curve and Pearl.  A SD card can be easily purchased from a nearby electronics store.

For BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Storm you may record video to internal device memory.
